Northern Secondary School’s SMARTRISK No Regrets team leaders return from the 21st Annual National Service-Learning Conference.
The National Youth Leadership Council hosted The 21st Annual National Service-Learning Conference in San Jose California from March 24th to 27th. This event drew youth leaders from across the United States, Canada and many other countries. Emma Henderson, Hannah Kraicer-Melamed, and Charlie Prussky represented Northern, SMARTRISK and Canada with effortless grace and maturity. All three leaders made a strong commitment to meet visitors with energy and enthusiasm and eloquently spoke about their distracted driving campaign.
During the conference it was announced by the National Youth Leadership Council representatives, along with State Farm representatives that the No Regrets team at Northern would be given an additional $7,500 to continue their work around teen driver safety next year and attend the conference in Atlanta come spring 2011.
