Discover Your Injury Issue
In Phase One we encourage No Regrets team members to “Discover Your Injury Issue”. This is where you go out into your school community and talk to students and teachers about what they think are the injury issues in your school. You will also want to find out why they think young people choose to take risks- and do they take smart or stupid risks? You can use the School Injury Issues Assessment Sheet to help guide you.
After you have talked to 30 members of your school community, you can come together with your No Regrets team and review your findings. For more information on how to analyze the results of your assessment, check out the School Injury Assessment How-To. Based on the outcome, you can begin to design activities around your identified injury issues.
Phase One is also the time for you to begin recruiting new team members. Recruitment can be challenging, so we recommend you take a look at our Member Recruitment Worksheet, which will help you plan out your recruitment strategy. You can also post our Member Recruitment Poster up around your school.
